By Plane:
Cologne Bonn Airport (CGN) is located approximately 15km south of Cologne. It has flights/connections to almost all the major German and European cities and some international flights as well. The airport is also a hub for many budget European airlines. Please check the airport web site for more details.
From the airport you can directly reach Cologne Central Station by train. To reach the venue from Central Station please follow the instruction 'By train'.
Other international airports next to Cologne are Düsseldorf (DUS, 30 min via train) or Frankfurt (FRA, 60-90 min via fast ICE train).
By Train:
Cologne Central Station (Haputbahnhof) is the one of the most important railway stations in Germany today, with direct trains to many capital cities in Europe. For online reservations and train timetables please refer to the German Rail (Deutsche Bahn) website www.bahn.de.
From the Central Station take either:
- Tram 18 (direction 'Klettenberg' or 'Brühl/Bonn') to 'Eifelwall', then cross Luxemburgerstraße and turn into Luxemburgerwall, after passing the greenhouse walk straight towards the Biocenter.
- Tram 16 to 'Neumarkt' then switch to tram 9 (direction 'Sülz') to 'Dasselstraße/Bf. Süd', at the Zülpicherstraße, the Biozentrum is at the left side.
- Train e.g. RB48 (direction Bonn) to Köln-Süd.
Alternatively, you can take a taxi from Central Station (approx. 12 Euro).
